Pillsbury's Flour was taken on a day off in Minneapolis, a city that once flourished in the flour milling industry. There are many great architectural remains, such as the Pillsbury Mill, which is still in operation. I was drawn to its powerful form, symmetry and design. |

The Outer Banks of North Carolina is an area where I spent a lot of time growing up. I tried to capture some of the early-morning tranquillity in this image of Kitty Hawk Pier. The fishermen are just coming up to the pier in the dim light of the early morning, people stopping in to get their bait for the day, and surf casters are lining up along the shore. My hopes are that the recent hurricane hasn't caused too much havoc in this area. |
