 Jennie,
1949 &
Pump Room, 1953
Skrebneski shot this image of his older sister, Jennie, when he
was 20 years old. It was restored after a fire that destroyed most
of his other early work. "My photo sessions with my sister were
very simple," Skrebneski recalls. "I had a white wall and photographed
her and sent the film to the drugstore. This is practically my first
photo and I love it. I paired it with my first fashion shoot for
Marshall Field's in 1953." |
