Nude
"Backs" Series, 1988 &
V icomtesse Jacqueline de Ribes, 1983
"I've done nudes all my life," says Skrebneski. "This shot was from
a period when I was just photographing backs, often eliminating
arms and legs in the style of Greek and Roman sculpture that had
lost limbs due to vandalism or breakage. I paired it with a photograph
of Vicomtesse Jacqueline de Ribes, a Paris socialite and couture
designer, because she adores men and I thought it would be a neat
thing for her to have at home." |
