Philippe
Venet Kimono Coat, 1994 &
Carmen, 1959
"This is another 'budget' picture shot for my book on haute couture,"
Skrebneski recalls. "It's a coat of Monsieur Venet's soaring like
the Concord above Paris." The other image is one of the many fashion
shots that Skrebneski created for Marshall Field's over the years.
It featured Carmen, a model and lifelong friend of the photographer's,
leaning in the opposite direction of the Eiffel Tower. |
